ok two things wrong with my car. il be stopped at a stop light and i will try to bring it into first or second gear and it feels like something is holding it back and it wont at all go in unless i go threw the gears a hundred times, third and fourth go in just fine. any ideas on what is wrong with it ? 2nd thing wrong with my car is that my shifter is really loose, when im in gear you can bring it left and right like the car is still in neutral. thanks guys !

 

try new shifter bushings. poly urethane are the best.

and your clutch could be starting to go out. atleast thats what mine did before it went out....i could not get the car into 2nd or 3rd.....

 

Possibly a worn clutch...

 

it sounds like a worn clutch. if its a sprung clutch then that could be the problem. My sprung clutch just broke 2 weeks ago and when it was going the gears kept getting harder and harder to shift though :/

 

do you think its at all possibly my clutch pedal could just need to be adjusted? a friend told me i should try it so later today i think i am going to try it, also just purchased new shift bushings so we ll so how this turns out ..

 

not if you cant shift it even when the car is off :/

 

im going to fix the bushings and the shift selector if its not that only other thing i can guess is a bad fork :-/

 

so after all this time it turned out to be a 44 dollar fix of some guy doing a half *** job on my shifter bushings. thanks guys for you comments

 

which bushings, because my car shifts like **** all the time and id like to fix that.

 

im guessing the two that hold it to the car right under the shift rod. get all both bushings done since your takin it down bitch pin or not. its like 15 bucks from nuespeed.
