So how do you guys recommend fixing this broken lock? We somehow managed to pry the door open yesterday when we got to the gas station. It locked smooth, but when I tried to unlock it, the key won't budge. Is there anyway to remove this lock? How do I go about doing that? I was going to try and pop off that plastic piece covering it, but was afraid of clips breaking as it wasn't going to do it willingly. Thanks guys.

if i think i know what your talking about. just break the lock tab off...that would prolly keep if from being shut huh?

Yeah, in my del sol it's got a lock next to the release next to the drivers seat. I'm pretty sure people were stealing my gas so I locked it. It locked fine. Next time I went to fill up, it wouldn't unlock?? I didn't know what to do, so I just pulled it open after some difficulty. Can I just remove this lock next to the release? Or is it all messed up until I can fix it? I guess I can just tape the button closed so it doesn't catch the actual door?
