Default air induction ideas?

I have a 1993 hatch, and looking for a way to draw in cool air from outside. I've seen and heard of a couple, but anyone have any interesting ideas?

Make a tube from where the fogs should be to the turbo.Put a filter in the tube somewhere.

both good ideas, but not sure they'll work. Gotta keep both headlights to be legal, and intercooler tubing could be in the way of the fog light opening.

Are corner lights required? Maybe make a duct through there?

I don't think you need them. I see people without them all the time.
There might be even less room through there though.

so to clarify, your car is boosted correct? best way to get air to the turbo and cool it is to create a custom ducting in the front grill to direct air while your car is moving to the turbo.

You could make a hole in the bumper kinda like this one.

I think I'm going to just go with my Integra head light idea. I've never seen a pair of those on a Civic with the Civic bumper.

93egSLEEPER: Yes, the car will be boosted. The question is just where to pull it in. That's the point of this thread... A custom ducting from where? I know I could take a hole saw to the bumper, but that's not very creative.

And Dan, that's awesome. I'm going to have to think about that one more though.

well the bumper wouldnt work. you have the bumper support (which i doubt you want to ditch yet) and teh intercooler so it has to be from the hood or headlights or a...snorkel lol

What size turbo are you going to run? that will determine where and how you may mount it and how the direct the air.

I cut a hole i n my bumper, and fit a coupling in it and on the other side slip a flex hose over the coupling, seal it with a worm clamp and run the hose to the filter.

Got the Idea from the local tune shop. you can use a headlight if you don't use the light. A velocity stack would be most ideal.

Ive seen side markers turned into odd shaped velocity stack for the purpose of cooling brakes too.
