Damn, Timing belt jumping
Found out why my motor is making a loud rattling noise... I took off the valve cover.
Cranked the motor by hand...and what do you know, the timing belt is jumping
1 notch every time i crank it a few degrees. This rattling noise happened after I was boosting it hard on the highway.

Been there done that..turned out to be a f'd up set of cam gears. I'd suggest a new tensioner, stock cam gears, and a new belt for starters. Are you running upgraded springs?
****, somehow the tensioner untensioned. I set everything back to TDC and retorqued it to 40 ft-lbs is that enough?
Car runs fine now. ****, so close to bending valves.

When you tension the belt, loosen the tensioner, then turn the cam gears as hard as necessary towards the back of the car to put all the slack back there, then tighten the tensioner bolt to 40ft-lb. I wouldn't go past 40, It'd be easy to strip that bolt.
