Default Tokico Illumina & GC reassembly order

I am replacing an Illumina on the front drivers side of my car and Tokico didn't include all of the directions in the box.

I am working off of the picture in this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21836382, but wanted to be sure before I tried to put this back on the car.

Does this layout look correct?

My second question is about the last washer that you put on the shock. The bigger washer below is what came off of the previous setup with the same components, but the new Illumina only came with that smaller washer. Which one should I use?

Thanks.

Quick Update.

I put everything together in the configuration posted above and this is what I see now.

This can't be right.

What am I missing that is causing the top of the shock extend above the top hat like that?

Looks like you are missing #13 Plate bump stop.

Thanks. Would having that prevent the top of the shock to stick up like that or is that an additional issue?

As long as #6 is installed in the top hat #13 should rest against it

#13 looks like this.

and is missing or not installed properly. which is exactly the reason why its sticking out like that. do not drive like that.

you should have reused it from the stock shock. neither the shock or the GC kit will have anything to replace it with.

I think my main problem is that the rubber inlay that goes into the top hat is torn up.

The bottom #6s rests on the that inlay and prevents excessive movement correct?
Would that be why the shock is extending up past the top hat like that.

The previous shock blew and was also extended up like the 2nd picture and hitting the bottom of my hood. I thought it was because the shock was blown and not because something within the shock/GC combo was failing.

If all of the components were working properly would I need a spring compressor to take apart the previous setup and put together the new set up?

no, the rubber bushing alone wont prevent your problem. the bumpstop plate i provided a picture of is the problem. from your pics, it looks like either you or the previous installer replaced the bumplate with a normal washer and is the reason it failed before too, and ruined the bushing.

and yes, you need to decontruct the stock suspension to get that bump plate. i recommend a spring compressor to do it right, at least for the front springs.

So 13 actually site on the ledge on the shock right below the threads right?
