Default Intakes

Pick which intake method you like best and state why you like it better than the other.

I really don't think there is such a thing as "best intake". I believe it is all personal preference. While one intake my yield higher hp over another, you may prefer the sound of the weaker one, or vice-versa. You may like how the intake looks in the engine bay for show over another, that could also sway your decision.

Here are the three things I would look at when purchasing an intake if I had to do it over again. These are in no particular order.

1) sound
2) performance
3) how it looks in the engine bay (some people probably could care less about this one)

a friend of mine autocrosses and road races regularly and he told me to take the cold air extension off because it gives you better throttle response but less hp.

i've tried this and i really didn't notice that much of a difference. maybe because my car isn't modded enough to recognize it. he has a completely gutted 4th gen hatch.

mines a street car, his is a track car. that's a huge difference.

I have the Iceman. I like how it can change from the cold-air to short ram style easily (for summers in FL).

I love how it sounds and better throttle response is noticeable.
