Default Considering a FWD car over an s2000

So i've been combing the used car market head to toe in search of a good s2000 for around $10,000 or so. Ive found plenty but lately I hate to say it but I've considered picking up a fwd car instead. Something performance of course, maybe an Integra Type R, SRT-4, RSX Type S etc. The car wouldn't be left stock obviously and I haven't abandoned the s2000 but between northeastern climate and usability concerns I'm entertaining other cars.

WRX is out because it's just not a very strong car, many in my range have high miles, new motors and or tired drivetrains as well as being overpriced so I'm not going there. Performance is still the top priority but other things need to fit in place as well.

The s2000 can handle snow but between a limited budget, having to travel far once I do actually find one that is blowing good compression numbers I am getting frustrated

What about a Civic or an Accord and do a motor swap? Accords are super cheap here and H series motors are a good deal.

Sorry but a prelude and swapped civic are not good alternatives to an s2000

And a neon is?

Just get an evo and be done with it. I wouldn't expect to find any of the cars you listed to not be beat to **** for that kind of money.

Considering that "Neon" has a motor that can handle 500whp on stock internals, has a quaife lsd, stock and runs high 13's... STOCK and also pulled a 1.01g with sway bars and mopar stage 2 coilovers...

I do.

Did I forget that I have a friend who ran a 13.1 @ 104 with $750.00 in mods?

I do

forgive me also for seeing the appeal in a Type S over a swapped accord with 179,000 miles on it and a Type R motor. My bad

most people with a shopping list of cars that they would buy don't stay happy for long (if they only buy one that is). think it through and find the make/model you really want, that would be within your means, then wait til you find it.
