Default Next Generation S2000?

I'm considering buying a new S2000 but I am just wondering if their will be any big changes soon for the S2000 line? If so when and what's it gonna be? Any info about new S2000's would be cool.

Also, I've been reading the posts on here and have been reading that some people are barely egding out lightly modded ITR's? This kinda disapoints me, I've never really driven a S2000 but I assumed they were faster than that.

13's impossible on a stock S2K? I know it's not a drag car but it is making power and costs plenty.

Where talking about a totally differrent cars here......
Type R is a front drive vehicle.......(a fast one at that)
S2000 is a rear drive ..........
The two cars behave differently..........
the only thing that it share is its Honda bloodline.........

The MY2003's just came out last month. Nobody is even thinking about changes for at least 11 more months and its very unlikely anything will be different next year.

A TypeR and a S2000 are completely different cars. Sounds like you are a long way from a buying decision.

13s are quite possible stock. magazines have done it, owners have done it... if you can drive very well and do it in the right conditions, you can too. but, average driver and average conditions, look for 14.1 or so.

driven properly, it's a faster car than the ITR by a good margin, period. on a straight, on a curve, in the parking lot.

Also, I've been reading the posts on here and have been reading that some people are barely egding out lightly modded ITR's? This kinda disapoints me, I've never really driven a S2000 but I assumed they were faster than that.

why? i have one, and it's my only car. sure, you can't throw a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back, nor a coupla bookcases, but you can say that about most small cars. it gets good mileage, is reliable, holds two passengers and some luggage comfortably.... so what's impractical?
