Default Ricer BOV's - Whos got the sickest sounding??

We all know inside we love the sound of the whip of a bov.

Been a while since Ive had to buy a BOV. Ive only ever used a Turbo XS RFL and an oem dsm bosch unit.

Who makes a nice sounding BOV now adays, is the greddy type S still ontop for that whip sound @ 15-20psi???

The turboxs rfl, this is why I didnt like it, I want a higher pitched quicker chirp of a bov, not this gush of air

Go to the sound and video clips section of http://blowoffvalves.com/, check for yourself. A lot of the "sounds" are subjective based on vacuum but on that site you can get an idea of what you like.

The GReddy Type S is a hard find, as people kept them.

Well Ive been and listenned on that site before, I find the noise is turbo/engine size related, and obivously boost pressure makes a diference. So I was hoping for some new companies maybe, or tweets to them on a daily 15-20psi on a fair size turbo.

I don't have the sickest sounding BOV, but I have the sickest sounding turbo... I can barely hear my BOV over the turbo decel winding down sound...lol

Honestly, I never liked BOV sounds unless I was running the car hard... The car is not supposed to make any unnecessary sounds unless it was "going" somewhere.

My favourite is the HKS SSQV though. Those three optional inserts pretty much cover the entire spectrum of cearly idenfifiable sounds from any BOV.

Here's my Camry with a Synapse Synchronic BOV:

ya those 2 inserts pretty much sound the same in the clips, looks like you can run it without the insert to get the whoosh sound, I like the high pitched one
