Hey 89_CRX_SI, how's that head swap working out for you?? Good luck with the crank pulley bolt. Never did manage to get it off my D16A6. For you, get like a 4 foot bar, spray the bolt with a penetrating oil, and LIGHTLY tap on the bolt to let the stuff work in.
Heh, when my friend owned my CRX before I did, the nut fell off as we were driving it! Herd a loud clunk (thought we ran something ovre) but 1/2 hour later, his radar dectior started going nuts because it was "low voltage" than the ALT like came on. Hehe, but it was almost 20 bucks to replace it!!
my problem is different ive tried all it said in the old post. It still wont come off.
If i left the oil jet in the old block VTEC wont work on my engine? The car will run fine tho?
THX guys

For the 10 billionth time... If ALL else fails.... LOCK THE FLYWHEEL IN PLACE with a bolt through the bell housing, another bolt through the flywheel, and something in between.... Spend hours if you have to, making something that will hold the flywheel and won't budge no matter what you do to it. Now get your breaker bar, and put a HUGE pipe over it.... I say go for something at least 6 ft long, maybe longer. If the pulley doesn't come off, the crank will break and you won't have to worry about it. I only recommed the above method if EVERYTHING else fails.
treid it with a 4ft bar. im gonna get a 500 ft lb professinal imapct gun and air tank from a friend. he said it will do the job hes done it on his car.
This is how you do it. Get a huge breaker bar, with a huge cheater. Get a screwdriver and go from down where the oil pan is, and lock the flywheel up, take the dustcover off. ONce you start turning it, it will lock the flywheel and break the bolt right loose. Thats the easiest way.
ok we tried all that brok 2 screw drivers 1 breaker bar and a ratchet. .... im talking were using a 6 foot breaker bar.
im gonna tow it gor 15 bucks to a shop get them to do it for free and tow back. worth the 15 bucks i guess.

just get a portable camping propane torch from Home Depot or Sears and heat that SOB up for about 30-45secs good maybe more and then use the impact gun ot breaker bar on it.
