I know this has been comvered many times, I have searched all over for more advice but I don't know what to do.
I tried getting my crank pulley bolt off and it won't come off. I bent my 6 foot breaker bar in half, broke 4 craftsman 1/2 inch drive 19 mm sockets, broke a craftsman wrench, craftsman 1/2 to 3/8 impact socket and a 19mm 1/2 drive impact socket.
My buddy brought over his 500lb tourqe impact gun and it wouldn't get it off.
I DO NOT WANT to heat up the pulley bolt, if I **** up the pulley, I have no money to fix it. And I don't want to take everything else off and not be able to get the pulley off and then my car isn't movable.
Any advice would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea, tried some, but not like PB blaster. May have to get some of that tonight. I'm just thinking 500lb tourqe would be enough???

Instead of just pushing down on a giant 6 ft breaker bar, try having a big buddy push it down, then you take a sledge and wack at it a few times. It's shocking impact that will break it loose, not just torque.

yea thats what i did to get my **** off. i broke hella sh*t too including my dads 3ft breaker bar. until my cousin came over and stuck his breaker bar in and wack the sh@t out of it with a 2x4 and magically it came lose. i say to its impact that will knock it lose too.
Shoot it with a gun, lol
When my **** wouldn't come off, I just used an impact gun and sat there for a minute or two
I didn't care if i broke it cuz it wasn't mine
(i know its fucked up, but he got it for free from a diff friend anyways)
And some wd40 that sat for an hour

Do you have the cranky pulley tool? BIG help!
If not, there's ways to stop the motor from turning. I used to jam a screwdriver in the ring gear on the flywheel. It helps to have the car in gear with someone sitting in it, foot on the brakes, HARD!
Tools: Make sure you're using 1/2 drive IMPACT sockets. The black ones. They're hardened, unlike their chrome counterparts. Use a good 1/2" drive breaker bar. Get an 8-10 foot length of pipe and slide it over the breaker bar to give you a better mechanical advantage. I also like to put a jackstand under the breaker bar to make sure it stays level with the crank pulley bolt.
Screw heat, forget sprays, don't waste your time with impact guns, all you need is leverage! In the car or on a motor stand, I've NEVER failed to get one of these off.

I bent a 6 foot bar in half trying to get it off. Leverage isn't being my friend on this removal. I am using only impact sockets, broke the **** out of them. Hell, also broke the 1/2 drive breaker bar.
I'm gonna try another breaker bar and whack the **** out of it while giving it some force.
btw, I am jaming a brace in the flywheel to get it not to move.
Thanks everyone!!

Using a chain wrench and some big *** breaker bars will get that bolt off every time.

Your flywheel might be giving too much. Try removing the starter (2 bolts) and put a bigger allen wrench all the way through an extra hole in the flywheel up to the block. It will jam itself good. Then use the big socket, bigger ratchet with adapter and put the braker bar on the ratchet. Should come out with steady body weight.
first off get rid of that pansy *** 1/2in 500lb impact and step up to a big boy. I used a 3/4in 1000lb impact with an impact socket. Go rent one if you can buy one. Also, if you do use it, make DAMN sure its turning the right way because either way that nuts coming off but its up to you if it comes off the way you intended it
