Default Turbo size

I have a b18c1 with only titanium springs and retainers. I am planning on boosting the motor. One person says a bigger turbo with low boost will have a steeper curve and thats not healthy for the motor. Another person says a smaller turbo with higher boost will make more hot air and thats not healthy for the motor. I am looking for a dd with good power on a pretty much stock engine that will last for at least a year and a half. Enough time to save money and rebuild the motor. Benifits of quicker spool? Benifits of better top end?

t3/t4 turbo 57 trim, good manifold (full race, peak boost etc.), good fuel delivery system, 8-10lbs of boost, good tune. and call it a day.

I would also agree on a smaller turbo like a 57 or 60 trim. A stock motor will generally not take a whole lot, so no sense in going big and having reliability issues.

If u just want alil more power and not really out to b fast then I would get a small turbo too, like a T3 with a .48 AR/57 trim and run 8-10psi. The T3 will spool fast and give good drivability and responce for light to light.

Just wait until you have more cash and build the motor. Do it all at once
