im having rnr make me a set of aluminum rods, the rods i have now are eagles 5.967" long rod for the stroker kit. mike said he was gonna make them 5.957" to allow for expansion of the metal, does thius sound right? i know im gonna have to notch the block but is there anything els i need to request so i get it right the first time. i made sure to order the -625 bolts with them. am i gonna have to run tighter or looser bearing clearances? thanks for any help.

they are usually made .003 shorter than a steel rod. we run our bearing clearances just as we would with a steel rod.
as you know, the block needs notching, and if you are running a girdle, you will need to clearance the girdle.
be sure to tell the company who is building your rods, the size of your cyl bore.
i had a problem with my rods not fitting in the bore...had to send them back to get clearanced to fit into the cyl bore.
