how to remove front engine mount
hi,
I have a 95 accord. the front engine mount is broken, i tried to replace it.
I can remove the 3 bolts attached to the engine, but the through bolt is so tight. I tried to use all my 155lb body strength, I still can't get it loose.
Anyone know why this thing is so tight? and how can i loose it? thanks.

Grind the bolt.
Rent a compressor, buy an air ratchet. It'd make your life easier.
Get a cheater bar on it if you can get it in the right spot.
Otherwise, find the fattest heaviest guy you can get and promise him a pizza if he can undo the bolts. The earth will tremble, the car will shake, the bolt will tink, and you will be a happy 155 pound geek. ^.^

Um.... If I'm not mistaken, isn't there a welded nut on one side? Make sure you're loosening the correct side which will be the bolt and not the welded nut.
make sure you tell the big dude that the bolts is on the left side of the bracket. And give chines food instead. hehehe
but for real use a cheater bar, or torque bar, and spray some WD-40. and make sure you turning left.

Which is not visible. The reason I have to take it off is because I messed the thread up where the spindle arm control and upper connect. So I cant just reuse it
Maybe I'll just Cut the ball jointand replace that way I can just leave the stupid arm and bolt in?...Anyways goodluckUSE PB BLASTER, HIT THE BOLT WITH A HAMMER MAKING SURE NOT TO BEND BOLT OUT OF SHAPE THE PUT YOUR GUNS TO WORK JUST TO SHAKE UP THE OLD BUILD UP.
@bsivoljr i had the same issue with my '94.....what i did was put a jack on the LCA and jacked it up, took te bolts off and wailed away with a rubber mallet til it all loosen up.....took about 15 min but it came out....ball joint too....
Thanks all for the help.
yeah, the nut is welded onto the bracket, but the nut doesn't look like it's welded. need to loose the bolt side, which is the side with very little space, and that was why i didn't try to loose the bolt in the first place.
I had to remove the radiator fan to open up a little bit more space. and I broke the 3/8" extension when I try to unbolt the bolts from the crossbar, so i think i will use 1/2" next time.
again thank you all for the help, i'm very happy now. Fry eggplant for everybody.
