So I was replacing the engine mounts and when I got to the driver side the bolts that go to the block were loose. I could shake the whole thing. I tried tightening the bolts and nothing.. Anything I could do? Should I re-tap the treads or ?

 

remove them while keeping a steady support under the engine and see if its the bolts or the holes, next post which one it is. you will NOT be able to o anything with the engine in the car that space is extremely tight

 

I tried putting new bolts on and after I would be able to pull the mount off without a lot of force. So the treads inside I think are done

 

threads on which mount? if it's the driver one just get a new bolt and a nut and use the new nut over the stripped one. In the case it's the bolt that's even easier.

 

 

No it's the treads inside the block that are messed up
