Icon2 STARTER SHAKES!!!

SO, my semi rebuilt B16a2 powerd EJ1 isnt starting due to lack of SPARK, ive changed all the fuses inluding main relay, got new dizzy,alternator,plugs/wires etc...

when attempting to start the car my friend noticed that my starter was shaking. the reason for the shaking is that one of the Bolts that hold the starter to the tranny isn't there... why? the threads are efffed up and i'm too lazy to tap new threads.

my question to you is that would my starter not being fully mounted cause the engine to lose spark or not start??

It shouldn't keep it from starting, providing it is actually turning the motor over.

If your starter is shaking bad when engaging, consider the fact that you could be pulling your motor very soon to fix the flywheel because the teeth are ****ed up from the starter not functioning properly.

If the starter is incapable of turning the flywheel then yes for the no start and no for the no spark.Try it with a known working ECU.

You're probably giving your flywheel one hell of a beating too. Stop being lazy and fix the problem before you have to buy a new flywheel and starter.

You "semi-rebuilt" your motor and you didn't know about the relationship between the starter and flywheel? Oh man..
