TURBO EXHAUST HOUSING CRACKED! HELP!
So i have a 14b turbo i just picked up for my integra LS and i thought i would clean it up and maybe do some porting before i put it in my car. Well i got it all apart and found that it needs a rebuild, which is fine considering i found a rebuild kit with all mitsu parts shipped for $40 and i spent $80 on the turbo. When i was cleaning it though, i found that it has some cracks in the exhaust housing. Now i know the first thing you want to say is "thats normal, all DSM turbos crack around the wastegate". Well there are six cracks. One is on the lower part of the housing, two are in the inlet, and three are around the wastegate (one of which goes past the flapper). What do i do. I could go ahead and rebuild it and hope that the cracks dont effect performance, I could get a new exhaust housing, or I could get another turbo. Now this is my 2nd turbo and I've got them both off craigslist and they were both junk. Im getting tired of buying turbos so i think i would have to buy one from the thedsmgraveyard.com who guarantee that its a good turbo or from someone else who will guarantee that its a good turbo. The problem with buying from thedsmgraveyard.com is that it $250 and i could almost get a 16g for that and i really dont want to spend that much money. This was supposed to be a budget build. PLEASE HELP!!!
