i just bought a turbo on dsm trader and when i got it it i notice it had a crack on the exhaust side of the turbo, one right under the wastegate opener thing, and another one closer to the edge, im tring to get the guy i bought it from to send me another housing, but what do i do if he doesn't , do i have to buy a new turbo, or could i just get the exhaust side from somewhere, does someone rebuild or what, any info whould be helpful

 

Almost all of them used dsm turbos have little cracks around the waste gate. If there small dont worry about them unless you can get a new one from the guy for free.

 

so i quess its ok to boost it, im only boosting like 5 pounds, stock motor

 

cracks where the internal wastegate flap is usually normal..don't stress
