straight pipe
Isn't that basically a "Test" pipe??
- for testing and circuit use only "apparently"
But as nus dogg said, without the Cat you wont pass smog/emmissions testing.
You might pick up a kw or two if youre lucky.

i always thought the back pressure the cat creates was good for an inline 4, then again i could be completely wrong.
also wont you have to do something about the loss of the o2 censor?
just my 2 cents, idk much really. go for it bro.

Negative - you won't pass emissions
Positive - ... wait... there is none.
Your check engine light will come on, and assuming your car is stock, it will sound like crap.
Finally, not that I care about the environment or anything, but you will be polluting the environment more. Oh... yeah... its Illegal. Like... On the federal level.
If you aren't building a dedicated track car then you have no business removing the cat. Plus, your resale value will hit rock-bottom.

lol the cel has been on since i had the car i fix what ever it is and it goes right back on we don't have emission checks here in sc so i'm good on that...my big question is where are the o2 sensors on my car is it before or after the cat
the or sensor is on the cat and after it, assuming you have a 96+ accord which you didnt even mention
all that 2nd o2 sensor does is make sure the cat is working, nothing more. you can easily disable that o2 sensor by using spark plug defoulers.
no it wont make your car sound like crap. it will make it smell like sh*t for anyone that is behind u.

unless you got a turbo your'll only see negatives, with turbo cars it allows for faster spooling and it makes a hell of a difference, when i put my cat on for emissions the turbo would take about 2 -3 extra secs to spool. That is why people with turbo's usually swap out their stock exhaust system 1st, its the cheapest hp gain. uberceralkiller is on the right path, n/a cars rely on a certain amount of veolicty through the exhaust, but too much or to little in the case of a downpipe will do it harm, there's a happy medium.
