I have a LS-T right now but im looking to upgrade the motor since the LS is starting to smoke. I was thinking about picking up a stock gsr.

How much power gains should i expect? How many psi can i safely run on the gsr with a t3/t4 turbo?

Right now Im running 15psi on the LS.

I searched but didnt really have much luck. Any help is appreciated thanks!

 

My friend made 370 to the wheels with 18lbs of boost on a 57 trim with a good tune on s300 on pump gas, but it could be more ive seen a couple stock internals 400 to the wheel its all about tuning.

 

Since you can't tell us anything about the turbo, there is no way to predict how much power you'll make. Also, there isn't a pressure limit on a setup...its all about power creation. If you want this engine to last, i wouldnt try to push more than 325whp out of it. Having said that, many people have made much more power than that.

Well do you believe what you hear.. probably was a gt42 turbo to.. theres really no point in this thread.. just look under the official ls vtec setup thread on here and you'll get a close idea..

 

yeah about 325 out of it sounds about right.

i tuned my friends gsr to 300 hp with like 145k miles never even had the valve cover off. the car lost a coolant hose at the track and ran hot for a while. that was like 2 years ago and its still kicking

 

35 psi is max
