Civic putters just in wet weather???

Default Civic putters just in wet weather???

Okay guys my car only does this when it is raining out or snow..and when driving my car sort of putters...I coming out of first and it doesnt feel like it has power then when i sort of floor it..it doesnt go and then it kicks in randomly and goes quick back to normal? It does it in any gear.. It has new battery..new alternator if that helps.. 92 d16.

do you have a cold air intake? maybe it's drinking water lol or maybe you have a bad o2 sensor.

no, short ram intake..i never see water in the engine bay on parts...why bad o2 sensor?

check your plug wires with it running spray some water on the wires it should sputter if thats the issue

I would check the wires first but it sounds more like the O2 cause of the flooring the pedal. If the wires test fine then check operation of the O2

see if the distributor cap seal is good. sometimes water can spary up in side of there, and also the TPS seal. my chevy 1500 did the same thing.

my vote is spark plug wires, seen it a million times.

do a full tune-up, chances are if the wires are bad it could use it anyway.

Even if you have a SRI, if your splash guards aren't in place it could still be sucking in some water which throws off your MAF, had that problem before.

even if you did have that problem before you didn't have it on a civic, integra, crx, or pretty much any honda.
