o2 sensor extension
ok i just wanted a quick answer.. when you extend the o2 sensor.. do you extend it from the o2 sensor itself or the wires before ( the ones that the o2 sensor connect into) does that make sense?
because i heard u lose voltage when you extend the wires.. is that ok?

yes make sure you solder the connections or it most likely wont work. me and my friend did this to his 02 sensor and it worked fine. yes extending wires does make have more resistance but just a small amount if u use some old crappy wires then that could be a problem, make sure you use new good ones : D good luck

i used the universal Bosch o2 sensor a few weeks ago and it can definitely lengthen your wires, the connection of the spliced wires is housed in a small black box with some ub3r connector and rubber seals its a pretty kickass universal setup.
my wires were lengthened by at least 4" and my o2 sensor is doing its job, no CEL's :-)

I bought mine from Horsepowerfreaks.com. They also have it on summitracing. I was around $20 and it is made by dc sport.
