What would you guys say is the hp limit for 91 octane. My car is driven almost every day, and obviously i would like to get the most out of it i can/should on 91pump.

84mm ls/v
stock b16 head
little t3/t4
1000 ID's
255 walbro
s300 w/boost by gear
PLX m300 wideband

Im curious as to what the HT crowd is doing day to day.

made 447 on 91 octane. Daily drove it for 2 years april-november.

15 psi on my GT3582R

 

i made 585whp and 330tq on 19psi running 92pump Daily driver, 40miles one way to work

 

compression ratio? manifold design efficiency? injector? tune? all those play a huge factor in making power on pump gas as well.

 

That's a ton of power! I have a gas station that sells 93 octane where I live. Even better. I don't want anywhere near that much hp. Good to know though.

 

91? you poor bastard. I guess I could start appreciating the 94 thats everywhere around here. I can't see why 400-450 isn't "do-able" on a good tune.

 

I feel your pain man. I can only get 91 where I live too. I think 585 is crazy! I put down 430 on 91, here is my dyno:

just for reliability i would try and keep it around 450hp or so not saying more can't be made but i would try and keep it as safe as possible and either way your tuner better be good

 

x2. Be sure to get a good tune and it will last. You could consider adding a meth kit to up the boost a bit, either way 630whp on 91 octane is not a good idea

 

i was looking into the AEM Meth kit.

I would like to go the E85 route, but we only have 2 or 3 stations that carry it in town. You'd think the largest city in Kansas would be loaded with the stuff.

 

Dude if you have the option, run E85! 3 in your town?? I had to drive to the next town for gas when I ran E85.
