Default Race-Tech turbo kit

im thinking about getting the bwr kit for 2299
but then this kit popped up
its a lil bit cheaper than the bwr

its for my gsr swapped hatch

what do u think?

the kit comes with

Race-Tech twin scroll stainless steel manifold
Race-Tech 2.5" downpipe
Genuine Evo 9 rebuild Turbo
Race-Tech intercooler kit.
Oil and water lines
Tial External wastegate
Screamer pipe

is twinscroll better than ramhorn?

twinscroll describes the turbo actually. its divided onthe inlet, basically. the manifold is designed to take advantage of this. looks like a nice setup, depending on your horspower goals

Doesn't seem too bad, but you could piece a kit together yourself and save a few hundred bucks...

the welding/fabrication on the Race-tech is ok but far from the quality of a BWR kit.Does Race-tech have a life-time warranty like we do?

No not the same as AFI, pretty much all ramhorn manifolds look the same. Just not all fabricated as well as others.

My first question to you would be what are your goals for horsepower? That will help us in aiding you with your decision on what style of manifold will work for you the best.

do some ramhorns start to crack because of the turbo weighing it down or jus bad welding

If a manifold is not fabricated and welded properly (backpurged, full penetration,beveled,ect....) it will be a lot more likely to crack.

Yes i got him taken care of. He should be very happy with his new manifold coming in.

We have several twin scroll and open variants for you to choose from all with warranty as well as complete kits.

Working with our parent company Kenney Enterprises we are able to CNC all of our flanges in house. We have also acquired a new welding technique because of them that is unsurpassed by any other.

The later of the two pictures are not of current welds, but just showing manifold designs.

Both brands look great! Both appear to have much better welds than the race-tech

** EDIT **

I removed the pricing I listed, I was incorrect. Sry guys. It seems both BWR and AFI manifolds are on sale!
