Default B16 engine and stock honda transmission

I am putting a new engine into my 94 civic lx and I was thinking of putting a b16 in it but I dont know if a stock honda transmission will work with the acura engine even though they are from the same company. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

B16 is from a honda. And you have to have a B series transmission, searh here and google for b16 swap. Its a lot of work, you will need to swap the motor, transmission, axles, ECU, wiring harness and get a mount kit to do this. And welcome to HT

B-Series Engine goes with B-Series Tranny. D-Series Engine goes with D-Series tranny so if by "Stock Transmission" you mean your D-Series tranny then the answer is no and you will need to get the things FeartheH said. I would start doing PLENTY of research if I were you before starting any kind of swap.

Hey, everyone has to learn. I still learn . Its just better to research stuff over and over again and get the right parts the first time and do the labor right the first time, it gets more expensive having to do things over again that could have been avoided.

which are you thinking of eventually swaping in?
B16 or D16
original post said B16 but yea it could be done with verry little hassel a few parts and some know how.
a D16 can be very easily swapped in to your car with hardly any part beside the motor.
but yea definetly start abusing the search engine gotta lot to learn and welcome to the Honda World
