Default swapping b16 shortblock for a b18 shortblock. easiest process?

ok so my ls/vtec buildup is almost complete so now i need to remove my b16 and swap in the b18. what would be the easiest way to do this? i hear good thing about dropping it out the bottom, but i have access to a lift, engine hoise, and a lot of other professional tools. should i just unbolt the tranny and leave it in there while i swap the shortblocks? thanks for your opinions.

oh and please try to stay on topic. thanks

First off you are going to want to take the engine and tranny out together. There really is no leaving the trans in on a honda. It's up to you whether to take it out the top or bottom. I take it out the top, on an angle, with the trans side lower at about a 30 degree angle. A lot of other people take it out the bottom but I've never tried.
