Default How to read CEL, 99 EM1

Hey, I tried searching and couldn't find it. I know there is a way to jump a wire on the ECU to read the CEL code when the light comes on. Anyone got the instructions handy? Thanks

Pull off the passenger side kick panel. Located between the pass door and firewall down by the floor. Once you remove that you'll see your ecu.

now get on your back or side and look back in the corner of your fire wall and you'll see a wire harness wrapped wire loom. On that wire/loom assy you'll find a 2-pin connector taped to it. I forget but its either a brown or blue connector. When you find this connector. insert a paper clip or wire and short the 2 wires together. Then put your key in the ignition and count the blinks. fast blinks count as single digit numbers and long blinks count in 10s.

So 2 long blinks and 3 fast = 23 1 long blink and 4 fast = 14, etc etc etc

OR you can go to any autozone and have them read the code for free.
