My CEL light came on today. It's throwing code 67, cat converter. Oddly enough, I had a new cat and o2 sensor installed about 2 months ago. Today is the first time the light came on.

Is the code caused by the o2 sensor in the cat, or the cat itself? I'm asking because I found a post with the CEL codes, and I would have expected it to say something like "67 Cat Converter o2 sensor", not just "67 Cat Converter".

If the parts are brand new, any ideas on why I could have a problem already? Thanks
