Default Piston swap

Hey guys/gals

I recently spun a rod bearing on my lsvtec and now have started to get my car running again. I picked up a free LS long block that needed a new crank and pistons so im going to throw my b16 head back on it. The problem i have been having is cracked ring lands. i have had to swap 2 different pistons in the last 6 months. I have come to the conclusion Rock pistons suck. I just got a set of wiseco 9:1 i am going to put in the new LS block. My question is can i run a bit more boost with forged pistons (still on stock rods w/ arp bolts) I have been running a 14 psi spring (made 340whp) w/ my .54 trim t3/t4 turbo. I am getting a turbonetics BB .57 trim t3/t4 turbo and expect to make more power with the same spring. Would it be safe to try and push 400whp on stock rods? Thanks for the input.
