Default b16 engine harness?

Story is I have a 2000 Honda Civic Dx Hatchback. I bought a 2000 Honda Civic Si Engine harness for my b18c-r motor. My obd2 gsr dizzy did not color match my si engine harness when i plugged it up. So what can i do? Should I buy a 2000 Si b16 distributor? I'm guessing it would plug up right because its I have a 2000 Si engine harness. Has anyone gone through the same thing??

I'm not sure I follow. The Distributor plugged in but the colors don't match? Don't worry about it. OR The distributor didn't plug in and the colors don't match? Which would mean you got a '99 - '00 EX harness. In any case replacing your distributor with a B16 distributor wont help you.

I just looked at my engine harness. My engine harness has 8 wires pinned to the dizzy plug and my gsr dizzy has 9 wires pinned to the plug. Does anyone know how I can repin these together?

You aren't answering the question. Does the distributor plug into the harness or not. I know the wire colors are different, but does it plug in?

yes, the plugs do fit. I also checked if i get spark. I get spark on all 4, and also I get fuel. I really don't know why it's not trying to start.

As long as it plugs in don't worry about the wire colors. The only difference between OBD2A and OBD2B B-series distributors is that OBD2B distributors and engine harnesses lack the tach signal wire (OBD2B cars get their tach signal from the ECU) Either way the lack of a tach signal wire wont prevent the car from starting. If you have fuel and fire i'd start looking at timing issues and firing order.

i dont think my timing is off because i never messed with my timing when i swapped the motor from one car to another. also i know i plugged up my spark plug wires in the right order. i'm gonna try tomorrow to rearrange the orders in a different way hoping that will solve the problem.

Did you have the distributor off the engine? You can 180 them out (although you really have to force it) you'll still have fire but ignition timing will be off 180 degrees.

WOW, the problem fixed by itself. my homeboy started up my car today and same thing happened. it kept on bogging when i revved. Then, he kept on gassing it, and somehow it fixed the problem itself. My homeboy said its from unleaded 87 octane gas that was still in the car or something, cuz he said same thing happened to him when he put his gsr on his eg hatch. thanks for your help 94EG8!
