b16 engine harness?
Story is I have a 2000 Honda Civic Dx Hatchback. I bought a 2000 Honda Civic Si Engine harness for my b18c-r motor. My obd2 gsr dizzy did not color match my si engine harness when i plugged it up. So what can i do? Should I buy a 2000 Si b16 distributor? I'm guessing it would plug up right because its I have a 2000 Si engine harness. Has anyone gone through the same thing??

Re: b16 engine harness?
I just looked at my engine harness. My engine harness has 8 wires pinned to the dizzy plug and my gsr dizzy has 9 wires pinned to the plug. Does anyone know how I can repin these together?

yes, the plugs do fit. I also checked if i get spark. I get spark on all 4, and also I get fuel. I really don't know why it's not trying to start.

As long as it plugs in don't worry about the wire colors. The only difference between OBD2A and OBD2B B-series distributors is that OBD2B distributors and engine harnesses lack the tach signal wire (OBD2B cars get their tach signal from the ECU) Either way the lack of a tach signal wire wont prevent the car from starting. If you have fuel and fire i'd start looking at timing issues and firing order.

Did you have the distributor off the engine? You can 180 them out (although you really have to force it) you'll still have fire but ignition timing will be off 180 degrees.

Re: b16 engine harness?
WOW, the problem fixed by itself. my homeboy started up my car today and same thing happened. it kept on bogging when i revved. Then, he kept on gassing it, and somehow it fixed the problem itself. My homeboy said its from unleaded 87 octane gas that was still in the car or something, cuz he said same thing happened to him when he put his gsr on his eg hatch. thanks for your help 94EG8!
