Default OBD2a Dist. on OBD2b harness

I just got done putting a 1998 GSR motor in my 1999 Civic DX, I used a 99 Civic Si engine harness so I didnt have to do any wiring. When we started up the motor we got a code 9(cylinder sensor). I am using a P28 with a Lightning Motorsports conversion harness. My engine harness(OBD2b) has 8 wires on the distributor plug and the distributor(OBD2a) has 9 wires. I thought all OBD2 distributors were the same? Any suggestions as far as what I can do, besides getting a OBD2b distributor? Thanks.

...it seems the person who sold me my engine harness actually sold me a EX one. WHat can I do to make this engine harness work with my distributor?

Si (99-00) have a blue (igntion output) wire on the dizzy. Like all B-series OBD2 dizzys. EXs do not.

Bump. I'd like to know how you got it to work.
