Hey guys does anyone know of any low budget boost controllers??? I've been looking at the aem tru boost but it cost about 300 and with that money i can spend on more higher quality parts where needed. I've seen some manual boost controllers on ebay for like 10 bucks but i dont want too stoop that low. Can you guys recommend any decent boost controllers that are reliable?

 

1) Hallman ES Boost controllers range from $80 or so
2)Turbo XS standard manual controllers - $85 and up

3)Electronic in-dash controllers, plan to spend the $250-$300

 

Just save up and buy a Turbo XS Dual Stage. Work great!

 

ill ask the ems question because a few ems' have provisions for boost control. i will say hondata because i use it, and it is pretty bad ***. its not an NLR, but you definately get what you pay for with it.

True, but he was looking at low-budget, meaning that it could be used regardless of what system he is using as complete engine management. Keep it simple. Get a TurboXS, or Hallman, you can't go wrong. Dual stage is good and all, but if you don't plan on using it, save the bucks and use it towards making sure the car is mechanically sound for the boost you plan to run on a regular basis.

 

Blox boost controller is 75 $ new and i have 1 and it works like a ****ing charm. it even comes w/ extra ***** n spring so u can adjust how much u wanna be able to adjust. lol its awsome

 

X2, I was gonna add that in regards to Shodan's first post. I run a Blox Pro manual as well, and it holds boost SOLID.

Yeah you can make one if you're going to go manual.. they work fine... it's just a ball and spring with an adjuster nut.

If you're going manual at all you might as well just make it... hide it behind the dash so only the adjuster nut shows... it'll look cool y0!
