take a look at my dyno graph...
over the summer i had my 93 LS dyno'd. it's a real good number-wise; im really impressed with what the upgrades have done. (they did the input, so i cant hate too much, but i kinda think its fail when people say "teggy", lol)
but look at the 4500-5200 mark.. wtf is going on there? slipping clutch?..its an xtd stage 3 6-puck with only 2 years on it. maybe a weird fuel anomalie? the dizzy is advanced +16 degrees, thats the only think i can think of that could be causing this. he only let it rev to 6500. it was climbing strong there and doesnt redline til 7100, but thats another topic, lol.
thoughts?

I'd love to be able to see some A/F maps but I'm guessing you never had it tuned or anything. Need more info on the setup though. You hp and tq is all over the place.
Looks like a god damn sine wave lol

nah, never tuned. its a DA with a b18b1 engine and 95 ls ecu. i/h/e, advanced timing and thats really it engine-wise..
i know, its rediculous looking. other graphs that day for other cars looked normal, so i have to assume its something my cars doing.

Tuning isnt really all that necessary for a stock LS w/ I/H/E...hell if anything those should help lean it out a bit. Honestly, there is plenty of "dyno magic" that could be doing all kinds of weird stuff, but a little wave like that is pretty common. Also, is that "flywheel" hp and torque I see? Does that mean they corrected for drivetrain loss and you only made like 115hp at the wheels? Kinda weak if it is.
I just noticed that was from Slowmotion. That's only 20 minutes from my house! Anyways, I know they have dynapack that is notoriously high-reading. I think my friend's b16a2 rex w/ an rmf header/intake/exhaust somehow put out like 168 or 174 whp. That's BS. My untuned b18c1 in a heavier car (93 Integra) is faster off the line and down the strip and it's only like 160 whp or somewhere thereabouts.
As for tuning even a basic car with I/H/E can benefit.
My Del Sol D16 with a Greddy Header, test pipe, stock exhaust and a K&N in the stock box makes 121whp/100tq on a dynojet and gets 38mpg highway.

Is Slowmotion still in business?

thats just the volumetric efficiency coming into play? that sucks.. if i need to do that, ill port/polish the head and intake manifold runners too.
and yeah theyre still open. new, bigger shop in sunbury. theyre really good people!

I've had some really bad customer service and pricing out of that shop. I once went through them for machine work and was quoted three weeks turn around. At six weeks I was getting pretty upset and was basically told, "Sorry, we're busy with a lot of big $$ customers so...." and they tended to act like I was bothering them and that my $650 (from a college student) didn't really matter. Got my block back like eleven weeks after I dropped it off and had no time left over the summer to put it together and drop it into the car. Told myself I would never go there again, but six months later Corey got me in there for a really good deal on something I needed and was really nice about the whole thing. I might go there time to time for good deals and for a dyno day but I can guarantee I will go elsewhere for my tuning and other big $ purchases. They probably don't realize that my income is about to spike in about 6 months and that I don't plan to quit the game any time soon. They'll still make their money I guess.

That's exactly what it is.
OP take a look at dyno graphs with cold air intakes on Hondas and you will see that is completely normal.
