Icon3 B16A2 Swap Into 92 Eg Hatch, Need Expert Help

Alright so I have a 92 CX hatchback that im rebuilding a B16A2 back to oem specs. I currently have the 96-97 OBD2 P28 Ecu from a del sol, a 97 GSR Engine harness, B16 Axles, pretty much complete change over.

Now my question is,

How do I convert my OBD1 Ecu harness to OBD2 WITHOUT using a jumper harness?

The reason why I need this is because I'm trying to bar legal the motor. I've looked on like 10+ pages and all I found was distributor conversions and a bunch of conversion harness. Can I just find a OBD2 Ecu harness from a integra/si/del sol and pull it and plug it into my eg or do I have to splice cut etc wires?

I'm trying to find a guide so that would be great help!

You'll have to get all 3 obd2 ecu plugs and re-pin all of your wires and if the pins differ between them than I'm assuming you must cut and solder.

As you can see by the diagrams you're dealing with quite a few wires, I would go with a jumper harness if if I were you but if you have the patience it is doable.

First go to the state ref and ask if you are allowed to use a jumper harness. I am sure you are because your upgrading in OBD not vise versa

yeah i've already asked the state ref, they don't want people using jumper harnesses

and thanks vibe ill look into that

the reason why i need this to be done legit because im gonna bar legal the car and register it as a custom car so the smog laws are a lot more lenient on me rather than a normal California regulated car

The only way you'll be able to do this is to repin the ECU harness connectors. It'll take some time and effort but if you do it correctly it'll be worth it.

You won't be able to register the car as a 'custom car' since it was manufactured, but you'll be able to get a BAR label on it. That won't relax the emission inspection limitations on it, it'll just allow you to pass at all, since you'll be testing the car as either a 96-97 del sol or a 99-00 si.
