im having a problem with my ignition switch. as i go to turn the vehicle on it shuts right off i just replace the ignition coil where the key goes and i know for a fact its my ignition switch i was woundering if its hard to replace this part and how can i do it.. is there a write up i can read on my 88 crx and if so i hope it has pictures lol please and thanks its driving me nuts im going to try and get another one but it seem complicated. please lmk thanks

 

Well due to this information being theft critical, all I am going to tell you that it is very easy. Get one from a junk yard and replace the whole thing with the harness as one.

 

1. Remove the lower steering column cover.
2. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
3. Insert key and place in the ``LOCK'' or ``O'' position.
4. Remove two switch set screws, then the switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
