Is Changing an ignition switch difficult in a 4th gen ?

no, not really, just have to drill out one or two rivets

I didn't have to drill mine.

Just remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds
and maybe the kick panel.

The switch itself is held on by 2 screws. (either flathead or phillips)
