1991 Ignition switch tumbler replacement
I just bought my 1991 Accord EX a week ago and one of the first things I wanted to fix was the two keys BS. Apparently the ignition switch wore out and was replaced sometime in the past. Must people would have not even bothered, but I’m picky about my cars.
I removed the ignition switch with no problems and had it rekeyed at a locksmith to match the doors, trunk etc.
Now begins the fun part, when I install it I cannot turn the switch past the accessory point so I can remove the key. I have tried re-clocking the innards with no luck.
The rekeyed switch works fine when it’s not installed.
I have searched and found nothing about tumblers. Can anyone help me before I go back to the locksmith in the morning?

I found the problem; the pin that retains the tumbler was not pooping up all the way. I just needed to wiggle it before it popped up all the way.
Thanks everyone.
