D16y7 head on d16a6 block.. help!

Default D16y7 head on d16a6 block.. help!

ok so im sorry if this is a stupid question but I have a 91 CRX si and I want to put a D16y7 head on because i just rebuilt it, it bolts right up and i dont have to change the dizzy, but i noticed the cam is completely dif, will it run? Do i have to change the ecu? and change to obd1?

To the OP: The head will bolt on with out a problem. I would use a metal head gasket from the Y7 to bump the compression a little more. You will have to use the cam from the Y7 though. The distributor should work also. I would be a good idea to plan on eventually switching to OBD1.

you also have to pull out the oil jet that is in the block

No you don't; D16Y7 is NON-VTEC...
