How do you run subs and amp in a del sol?
I have been looking for a spot that goes from the interior to the trunk, but I can't find anyplace to run the wires. It seems like there's no spot that goes from the interior to there. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
I'm sure you know how to run power and everything else into the cabin, but after that, pull up the running board cover and run wires under it.
Next pop the plastic piece off on passenger side that is by the seat belt, it like hooks into the door jam. Kinda hard to explain, its been awhile and few cars ago since I've done this to a Sol lol. Run wires behind it.
Then pop the L shaped piece off where the speaker grill is. Take the whole piece off, not just the speaker grill. Next you should be able to see the inside of the quarter panel. You will need a coat hanger or something similar to fish the power, rca's, and remote wires to the rear. It looks tricky but can be done. Just tape all 3 to the end of a cut coat hanger.
Next remove trunk lining on pass side, if you have it. And then look for the wires. I'm trying my best to help and I hope it does somewhat lol. A Del Sol is probably the worst Honda to run wires for a sub.

I just have one more question. Where do you run the power line through. I've seen it done through more then once place. What's the best place you can run it from the battery into the car?

i ran my battery wire through the firewall. There is a little rubber grommet in the firewall that kind of pops out if you just push on it. I drilled a whole through the grommet and just fished the power wire through. it worked real well. you could just leave the grommet out probably if you wanted to but you'd probably get a draft or cold air coming through.
I also installed my sub the way, by fishing underneath the carpet and under the steel firewall thing into the trunk. I taped mine onto a coat hanger and pushed it through. I took out the whole interior in order to just make it easier. It was nice to have room to work and stuff and then it got a full cleaning after.
