Icon2 Flywheel Bolts

I have a 91 Integra and I was able to get the clutch plate off just fine but I am now down to the 8 flywheel bolts and they are not budging. I am using a high power impact on them and they will not give. I have so far tried two different penetrating oils and let them set in good and it still doesn't help. Any suggestions?

I would try a long breaker bar, and to prevent the flywheel from moving i would use the crank pulley holder. good luck, or keep trying with impact gun and more lubricants.

I used a cheap harbor freight impact that ive had for years and it took them right off. Id say keep at it with the impact...and this may seem like a stupid question but are you sure your turning it the right way? We all have brain farts.

wow they must be on there really good, never had this problem and iv used a hand ratchet before with someone hold the crank bolt with another ratchet..... id have to agree.... either get a long breaker bar and have someone hold the crank bolt or spin the flywheel with a ratchet on the crank bolt still it wedges itself on the "subframe" Or just hold that trigger down on the impact, iv never seen one break so eventually the should lossin up

ive done 6 clutches, 4 in my driveway. that happened once to me, i had my friend use a breaker bar/exstension/socket to hold to crank pulley. then i put my 4ft pipe i got from home depot on my breaker bar for more leverage and they all came out easy.

i would first use those specialty sockets with reversed inner cutting blades. The tighter you turn the more it grips.

your impact gun doesnt have enough torque. try another gun.
