Oil restrictor size on T3's. Searched.
I blew the seal on my last Garrett T3 Super 60 within 7k miles of driving. Lots of smoke blah! My second super 60 just came in and I don't want this happening again. I did a quick startup on it and drove 2 miles last weekend. I checked and it was leaking at the seals of the bolts you loosen to clock the turbo. I started it up today for the first time since, but I didn't drive it. No leaks. I've noticed oil psi go past 80psi during warmed up driving. Seals tend to take up to 70psi without letting go.
I've noticed a lot of people using .065"(1/16) restrictors so I think that's what I'm going to order one tomorrow. Anyone recommend otherwise? This is a T3 Super 60 with -3 feed line from the stealthmode kit for an f22b2 motor.

That could work. but also check your return line setup. "seals" just don't go, but you are correct, your oil pressure is a bit high unrestricted. (good thing you checked). Many Subarus are in the 100psi range and use a.065 or .060" restrictor only. no smaller.
