Default 96 to 99 front end conversion questions

just bought a 96 civic dx that needs a front bumper and i was wondering if everything would fit right if i just bought the 99-00 front bumper or would i have to buy the fenders and headlights too?

lolll nahh son you need the grille headlights fenders and the hood its not that easy

hey guys! so, is there really no possibility of fitting a 99 bumper on a 97 chassis without changing the fenders and headlights!!?

headlights are a different shape......won't fit without changing the whole front end

ok i see... it sucks because i can get the bumper very cheap but where i live the rest of the parts are almost impossible to find (fenders, hood, grill), si dissapointing... but thanks anyway guys!

96-98 Civics uses the same front end. 99-00 Honda made a revision to the Civic changing the fender, hood, grille, headlights, and the front bumper. Including the rear trunk for sedan. 96-98 front end is not compatible to 99-00 front end, yet they look somewhat similar, they are different in many ways while using the same chassis, radiator support. Other Civics like the Acura EL uses the civic chassis and it's just the front end and trunk difference for the EJ8.

Also, the FD2 07+ Civic Ferio(Sedan) Type R is different front end and trunk as the 07+ Civic Sedan(Ferio) Si here in America. (Don't know if it's called FD2 in American Si or another chassis code.)
