Missed 5th Gear, Went in 3rd, Now Ticking noise
I was on the FreeWay, and i missed my 5th gear, and put in 3Rd, Now i get a ticking noise.

for highway beating.
if it is ticking you probably have excessive valve lash due to a few bent valves.
a compression test and leakdown test are now in your future. at the very least, you need a valve adjustment.

Check the valve lash. I ran a program with no rev limiter for a while (dumb, I know) and missed a few shifts. 9K+ on a stock B16 Valve train. Twice I had ticking after and both times the jam nut at the top of the valve had come loose. It even came off once and I had to fish it out with a magnet. Unless you REALLY hit it hard, it's probably fine. You def need to pull the valve cover off and check your clearances before you drive it. If you had damaged the valves it would more than likely have idle problems.
