Default Stripped a ring gear bolt

when i was installing my new dif and putting the old ring on it i overtightened one of the bolts stripping them, i can get it snug but that is about it....All of the rest are tight.

Could this have any major affect if i dont retap this bolt? or can i just leave it alone...like i said it was only one bolt.

I doubt you stripped the threads on the diff itself. Replace the bolt with a new one (you'll need to buy 10 of them).

What if I don't though? Will one snug bolt be ok? The rest are tight...

You definitely didn't strip the diff, so just replace the bolt. No reason not to.

It will take them less than a week to get the bolts in.

This is why its important to use the proper tools and do things correctly.
