shift linkage pin

Default shift linkage pin

ok i did an auto to manual swap

and i didnt put the pin in i used a bolt cause i was lazy but driving with a sloppy shifter is getting really old

i have the pin but i dont have the snap ring that covers it....

so my question is do i need it or what could i use?

ok well i was think about using a hoes clamp

and i believe you that i dont need it but then what is it for?

you should use it but it's just incase so the pin doesn't work itself out

a hose clamp will work just fine, its better then noithing and the snap rings can be a pain in the *** sometimes.

should be just fine, i don't recall ever using one and i've done a buttload of swaps.

Just a suggestion, take a file and slightly taper one end of the roll pin a little more. It will go in easier. Start it with a hammer outside of the car, and then use an air chisel if you have access to one. It goes much faster than by hand. The clamp thing may work for some, but it was an epic fail for me.
