Default Alternative to Header Wrap

Hey guys, this maybe long ridiculous shot but anyone ever thought of using fire blanket as a header/exhaust wrap?? I would of thought that they are the same material and instead of spending $55 a roll, you could get 1.2m x 1.2m blanket for $12.

Summer is coming up and I can definitely feel that my turbo is laggier and make less power due to heat soak/hot engine bay.

TIA for any opinion/suggestions.

alternative to header wrap = exhaust manifold heat shield.
header wrap is the only thing i can think of.

i say its a no-go with the fire blanket, what would you use to tie it tightly?
