CEL light wont read codes

Default CEL light wont read codes

i have a 92 civic with 94 gsr swap the checkengine light came on and car wont rev past 4k rpms now i tried to scan codes by putting a jumper wire in the connector and turning the key on but the CEL just stays on and doesnot blink any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated thanks

You have CEL code 0, which indicates an ECU problem. In your case, there is a short or open in the brown wire running between the 2P service connector and ECU or the ECU is bad.

the ecu is a p28 with hondata s100 i unplugged it and put in the stock p72 no probs then put the p28 back in and no more check engine light weird looks like someone had a vafc in the car at one time would a loose connection cause this

Yeah, just sounds like the problem was a loose ECU connector.
