Default Accord Pulls and Vibrates

Okay, 94 2 door ex 4 cyl. Just bought it a week ago. At highway speeds it pulls to the left. Also on acceleration it vibrates between 24-2900 rpm. I took it to the shop saturday, put in new front and rear rotors and pads, new wheel bearings front and rear, new tires and wheels, then had it aligned. Still does the same thing. Didnt have any loose feeling tire rod ends or look to be any bad ball joints. It also has new honda shafts. What could be causing this?? I am thinking motor mount or maybe a bad control arm?? Not sure what, Im pulling my damn hair out. Help!

Pulls and vibrates?

Alignment and/or some shitty *** tires did you have a laser alignment done with a before/after print out?

I didnt buy shitty tires, I put Michelins on it. Yes I had a laser alignment, and it was done at my work, so I got to see the before and after and help my tech align it. I work at an automotive restyler, we do alot of lift kits, lowering kits and alignments. It was not too far out, but the toe was out pretty bad. Not sure what it could be. It also shimmys a little bit when you stop. I think it has to be suspension somewhere, just not sure where. I didnt buy any cheap parts to replace the current parts on the car by the way, I dont usually roll like that.

If it shimmys on braking it's usually the rotors. When you replace those you want to replace the pads. Assuming those are good then it goes to the tires/wheels. Even the tire pressure - on my S the tire pressure makes a huge difference. Alignment falls in here as well.

If those are good and balanced/weighted then I'd look at the suspension bushings for cracks/missing ones. If those are good I'd look at the shocks.

What Michelin's did you put on it? The OEM ones aren't really that great and score very poorly on tirerack's rating system (girlfriend just bought more OEM ones and put them on her G7 Accord )

And you have to understand based on the info you gave in your first post and the number of idiots who do buy the $30 Walmart tires and post similar issues it is one of the first questions that arise.

*edit* The other thing to note - and I neglected to mention - is if the car has ever been curbed or wacked the crap out of a curb. That can easily bend a lower control arm which would throw you off - but that should've been found in the alignment process I'd imagine

I did new pads and rotors at the same time, should have said that. It did it before, so I thought hell, Im replacing it all, hubs were seized so I put the new hub assy in it with the wheel bearings. Im not sure, my cost on them was 96 bux a tire. I could have put the 40 dollar Goodrides on it haha. I was going to throw it back up on the lift this week and start looking at bushings and stuff. I didnt look them over too hard because I thought I would have fixed the problem with all the new parts and the alignment, but as soon as I got on the highway and let go of the wheel, it still jerks me to the left, it also has that shudder on takeoff. Its weird. I am not sure if the car has been curbed, I just bought it. This is my third accord and Ive never had any of them do this. Oh well, keep the ideas coming, Im sitting here basically trying to go over what it could be in my head to get a plan of attack until I can get it in the air. Thanks guys for the input!

I'd compare the lower control arm from the left to the right and see if there's any differences, if you just got it it may have been bent and the old owner just didn't care. I do suggest going on tirerack and reviewing that tire's ratings though.

Okay, switched wheels and tires again, same result. Replaced the front and rear motor mounts, still vibrates. I am wondering if when someone before me did the tensioner timing belt install if they didnt get the balance shafts right and that is causing my vibration. The next thing is the pulling to the left. This is getting rediculous. I replaced alot of bushings in the front end this week only to get the same result. I found a front end rebuild kit on ebay with new control arms, ball joints and sway bar bushings which I already replaced. Has anyone tried one of these kits?? Here is a link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ball-...item4ce6a46b3a

What else can I freakin replace, Im tired of this crap. I want to start doing some stuff to the car, but not till I work out the problems. Thanks again guys!

you find a answer to this and share with me, I have a 97 ex sedan 5 speed and have the same annoying shudder on acceleration fron 2500-2950 or so. All new everything and still there and even did the timing belt and balancer shaft belt (perfectly in time) and it still does this. I am thinking it is worn differential bearings in mine (206,000kms) goin gto check that next. Anyways best of luck.
