Default Another No budget single slamer build

Here is my most recent low budget single slamer build after I broke a retainer and bombed my b series motor in my civic. I probably have $3500-4000 in the whole car and plan on having a blast in it.

Daily Driver I stole from my wife
Eagle rods
Vitara pistons
Act clutch
60-1 turbo
spa manifold
Double backdoor intercooler
El cheapo wastegate and bov
Gangsta downpipe and chargepipe
Precision 1000cc with E-85
Tuned on Crome by me
Skinnykidsfabshop Gription bar

When are you going to dyno? How much boost?

I don't dyno tune, just track tune. Probably start around 25psi and see what happens.

That seems like a pretty high number with a stock head and intake manifold. I am also building a single cam with ge rods and vitara pistons but I am doing supertech valves springs and retainers wiat a port and polish job and I will probably barely hit 300whp. Then again I don't want anything to brake either. Good luck with the build and tune. Keep us updated with it.

Ive built 3 eagle/vitara motors for my friends all of them with stock heads 2 of them make just over 400hp and have ran 11.0s and 1 was none vtec and both rev to 8200 the other made 326hp and get daily driven and beat to **** everyday and gets reved to 8000.None of them have ever had any problems.

"starting around 25psi" sounds like your not scared to push things. 450 is a big number with a stock head, but good luck.

I have a flange sleeved block and will probably be using cotterpins genius idea and attaching a ls b-series trans, so if this one breaks multiple times I could care less. The only way to learn what's weak is to break sh*t in my opinion.

Most definately. Probably next year early on. I put down 450 last weekend at a dyno event. Today I ran a personal best of 11.5 @ 129. I think gearing is killing me. I tried to turn it up 1 psi and something let go in the trans. That was on the 38th or 39th pass.

I was trying to bring the boost in a little earlier to see if that would help my 330 but I put it in second and it quit pulling. I will do an autopsy this week and see what happened. Seems like 11.6 was a big barrier i was stuck at and I finally went 11.5 today. My wideband crapped out on me so no tuning happened today(the car has only been track tuned). Hopefully everything will come together and I will see what happens! Good luck on your build. Hope to see you next year!
